Salmo Java was conceived by a combat medic on a tactical site in South West Asia, dreaming of the perfect cup of coffee. That vision took shape on the banks of a trout stream in upstate New York and grew into a passion for roasting exceptional coffee for those who thrive in the great outdoors.

We’re a small-batch, gourmet coffee roaster built for adventurers, anglers, hunters, and conservationists - people who start their mornings by the campfire, on the water, or deep in the backcountry. Just like you, we believe that great coffee belongs in wild places.
